Prerequisites

First of all, take the backup of entire data as who knows, this process may land you into important data loss. So it's good to have a restore point with you.
Charge your Nexus 5 to 85 percent at least.
Enable the US Debugging. You can do it by navigating Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging.

Procedure to Update Nexus 4 with Xylon Jelly Bean 4.2 Custom ROM Firmware

Download the Xylon Jelly Bean 4.2 firmware from here.
After the firmware installation, you will need to install the Google Apps like Google Play, Search etc. For this, download the Google Apps Package from here.
Now connect your LG Nexus 4 with computer using USB cable and copy the files downloaded above, to the internal SD of your device.
Disconnect your device from computer and download the ROM Manager App. You can download it from here. After downloading, install the same.
Open the ROM Manager app and select “enter device into recovery mode".
While in Recovery Mode, select“Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition”.
Select “install zip from SD card” and then “choose zip from SD card”. Locate the firmware zip file that you download in the first step.
This will start the installation of Xylon Jelly Bean 4.2 Custom Firmware and will take only a few minutes for completion.
Now repeat the last two steps to install Google Apps package. But this time locate the Android Apps package.zip file.
Select “Go Back” and then “reboot system now”. This will restart your LG Google Nexus 4.
