How to get traffic and subscribers to a newly published blog?

Thousands of blogs are registered and published each day but do you really think that all those blogs become famous on the internet? Only a fraction of all the blogs become famous and this is not a rule of thumb because anyone who registers and publishes a blog has equal chances of success. The difference is made by the approach of each blogger. This post is not about why newly published blogs fail but how you can survive your early days of blogging and also how you can bring more traffic and subscribers towards your newly published blog.

Write good articles 

So, here I’m saying again that you need to write good articles and by good articles, I mean really good articles. A good article is not like an essay that you used to write in your high school or college because we all know that those essays cannot really impress readers on the internet. A good article shares something of quality with readers, it acts as food for thought and provokes interest of readers in what you are writing and sharing with them.

Share important and useful information

This is the most important thing that you need to keep in mind. Publishing a blog doesn’t mean that you can share anything on it. A blog must have a reason, a goal and an ideology behind it. If you don’t have a point of view them I’m sorry to say that you will not be able to survive in blogging world for long. So, always try to something useful with your readers so that they can also share it with their friends (more traffic and subscribers).

Don’t allow readers to comment initially

In the beginning months, you will get nothing but spam in your comments. As soon as you will publish your blog, you will start receiving hundreds of comments each day. Hardly a couple of comments will be real and the rest will be automated, software generated comments. Obviously, you cannot publish those spam comments on your blog and having no comments at all also reduces the value. So a good idea is to disallow anyone to comment on your blog for first 3-4 months.

Submit your blog to search engines

Don’t tell me that you haven’t submitted your blog to search engines yet. My dear friend, this is something that you do just after publishing your initial blog posts. However, let is better than never so take out some time and submit your blog to all major search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, AOL etc. This will increase your chances to get indexed faster.

Blog Commenting:

Blog commenting trend is increasing and it is the easiest way to drive free traffic to your blog. Try to be the top commentator or you should be among top 5 commentators to come in reader’s eye. Write valuable comments so that the visitors of that blog took interest in knowing more about you or knowledge.

Join with Other Bloggers on Twitter and Facebook

  Facebook and twitter both are best free sources that you can use to bring interested visitors to your newly published blog. Join bloggers community on Facebook share your links and get subscribers and loyal visitors that will help in growing your website traffic and make your blog successful in initial stages.  I am getting more than 150+ visitors from these Facebook group.

Video Marketing

If possible create video tutorials of your blog posts and upload them on YouTube, daily motion, vimeo etc.  It will provide you another door of traffic to welcome on your blog.Video Marketing is very effective and give you genuinely interested subscribers and long term traffic

Guest blog as much as possible 

 Since you are a new blogger, no one really knows about you. This is where you need to bring your social skills into act. Try to communicate with other bloggers and if possible, write a few guest posts for their blogs because this will help you getting a following and also, you can obtain a back link for your blog as well.
