The success of the iPad has not come as a surprise for both consumers
and critics. They have several uses and benefits that make these tablets a
wonderfully compact mobile PC on the move. The sheer number of apps available
with varied utilities and features has made the iPad the most sought after and
well reviewed tablet in the consumer market right now.
While tablets powered with Android are beginning to gain a substantial
market share, the choice of apps available is still far behind when compared to
the Apples iPad. With the iPad, there are over 100,000 cool apps that the user
could choose from.
If you take into account the number of iPhone apps that are compatible
with the iPad the choice is even vaster and to select 5 apps from these is a
difficult task indeed. Still we have picked 5 apps, which we feel would be a
great asset on your tablet.
iPhoto
A great app for travelers or those people who love to capture exciting
moments of their lives. The latest models of iPad come with much better cameras
and do not have this super app in your kitty would mean that you’re missing out
on a lot of fun. iPhoto has a lot of cool features and costs under $5. You can
take pictures and make beautiful albums out of them.
It has also got a whole lot of other features, which you can use to
add a different dimension to your photographs.
You can then load them up on iCloud or share with your friends on social
network forums.
An absolute essential nowadays and the app enables you to easily log into
facebook and carry out your day to day activities on the most popular social
networking forum.
Find my iPhone
Despite its name this is an app that can also be used on the iPad.
This is a must have app for every iPad user and it helps to track down your
location. All you need to do is log into your iCloud account and it displays
the location of your tablet. This app can come especially handy if your iPad
gets stolen or misplaced and in such an event it gives you a number of options
with regards to tracking it.
Some of the options include sending messages on its display or create
beep sound on it. You can also clear all the data in it, in case the tablet
contains sensitive information.
iBooks
One of the best apps for readers, who like to read documents or eBooks
on their iPad. This app does not come preinstalled, but can be easily obtained
from the Apple app store. Reading
is quite comfortable with the help of this app. It has great clarity and pages
can be turned effortlessly. There is some slick animation work done with the
app that adds to its charm.
Travelocity
A very useful app for travelers through which you can make hotel
reservations, flight bookings and even hire cars from rental agencies.

I just love the iBooks app as I am able to download and read a lot of books for free. As compared to the Kindle for iPad, the iBook rocks because of its effortless download system that Apple has perfected. The only app I don’t have among your best 5 is the Travelocity. I don’t travel internationally much so I don’t really need it.
